Mission

The PACCK FOUNDATION is a non-profit, community-based organization that raises and trains exceptional Assistance Canines and matches them to families caring for a child diagnosed with a Pervasive Developmental Disorder such as Autism or an Autism Spectrum Disorder.

Our goals are to assist in optimizing the emotional and physical development of the child, promote strong social ties to their home, school and community and foster their overall safety, health and well-being.

The PACCK Foundation is also engaged in training, education, and awareness promotion activities about the critical role that Assistance Canines play in the lives of children in need.

Values

We envision developing a Quebec-wide movement to ensure that children with an Autism Spectrum Disorder or a Pervasive Developmental Disorder and their families have access to the therapeutic benefit of Assistance Canines and Family Dogs.

PACCK will be a recognized leader in this movement and elevate awareness about the transformational impact of Dogs for children with a Pervasive Developmental Disorder.

Our motto is “Unleash their Potential” and it’s based on the following tenets:

  • Kindness and care towards people and animals, and respect for their dignity and well-being.
  • Promotion of life affirming changes for children in need.
  • Commitment to the welfare of families
  • Innovation in canine assistance program development.
